LP Announces FlameBlock I-Joist Debut - new use for Barrier's Pyrotite Technology

LP Building Products has announced the launch of the LP® FlameBlock® I-Joist to help builders find a new innovative solution for the latest “Fire Protection of Floors” section of the 2012 IRC (R501.3). This product combines the strength of an LP® SolidStart® I-Joist with LP FlameBlock’s proven, patented, non-combustible Pyrotite® coating to slow the effects of heat and flames.

Barrier is excited about this new opportunity for our Pyrotite® Technology.
