The Treasury Secretary, Henry Paulson reported today that problems with bad loans in the subprime mortgage area were largely contained and the global market losses are really a repricing of risks. He went further to say we have a strong economy and a strong global economy.
Home building was less of a drag in the second quarter...it shrank at a 9.3% annual rate v.s. the 16.3% during the first quarter. Has the tide turned?
